Day 133 of 365

A flower broke off the orchid plant we got on Sunday so I thought it would be a good opportunity to practice reverse lens macro on it. I think there is some potential for some good abstracts but it's a bear to get a good focus. A millimeter could be all the adjustment you need between in focus and out of focus...a millimeter adjustment is quite the challenge.

I tried it!!!! Check my blog for today's post if you have a moment. And thanks for giving me the nudge...

I didn't appreciate the focusing challenge until I tried it myself but I loved the results...

Isn't a millimeter like half the width of a hair or something? I am amazed you were able to get anything in focus as my efforts thus far have been rather...well, unfocused! :)

Stunning.
Can you imagine this photo printed large and hanged on the wall!? It's amazing!
I looked over your older photos. Stunning change between the first and the last photos.

Ilan...yeah I'm gone back through my archives not to long ago and could point out different transitions in my style and technique. Mostly aha moments :)
