Day 235 of 365

Day 235 of 365, originally uploaded by Rob Weiher.

Looking at this pepper earlier while making dinner made me decide to try and emulate Edward Weston's famous pepper photo. I decided to keep it in color because while mine is a pepper like Mr. Weston's his was more about the lighting and shape, in my opinion, and I find mine more about the color and less about the shape.

Very cool. Kind of dark again, but then again it's good to have a signature style, so the fact that I would have added a bit more light doesn't really have to mean anything to you.

Oh, and a compliment. When this came up in my reader I thought for a second that I was reading Strobist!

Thanks for retaining the colour the tinge of red comes through like diamonds in the soil or gold specks in a stream.

Thanks Jessica and Ron :)

I think until I get around to getting a true strobist kit my images may be a bit on the darker side as I'm adapting my style to what equipment I have and trying to push the boundaries as far as I can with it.
