Day 264 of 365

Day 264 of 365, originally uploaded by Rob Weiher.

My wife had a special request for todays photo. This is a macro of an oak leaf she brought back from a trip she took with her sister to Vermont a few years ago. I'm finding that using back light really helps bring out the details in things like leaves.

Camera settings were 190mm, 1 sec, f/8.0, ISO 100

How significant is that perfectly round hole in the leaf?

Gorgeous colours. It's really well lit and the veins shine through. It's such a simple yet detailed image.

Beautiful job, thank you, sweetie!

There are a couple of those round holes in the leaf. They look like part of the leaf growth and not where a bug had a meal :)
