We bought a cool bamboo vase that is about 3 feet tall on a trip to Bend, Oregon about 4 years ago. Today it doubled as my prop. I put a shop light down inside to see if the light would shine through...as you can see it did but not quite as much as I had hoped for.

This shot seems like it would make a great texture for use in post-processing future images. I haven't tried this technique myself yet, but am planning to one of these days. Have you done or heard of this before?

Thanks Dan. I've played around a little with applying textures but not nearly as much as I could. Once I'm done with this 365 project I'll probably dig through my entire catalog and see about doing some.
