Just to prove to myself that I could do something outside the garage I went out at dusk to catch some long exposure sunset on the water shots. Did much better this time after not doing so well the first time I tried to do this months ago.

I like it for the fore and middle ground. This is a good shot. I actually think that if the sunset colours weren't there, it might be even better. I think that the next time you try to do the sunset on the water stuff, try for a less-cloudy evening so that more colours come through, and try for them being reflected in the water's surface. I'm sure you'd come out with something absolutely spectacular.
I give you two thumbs up and a cookie though for trying something outside the box for yourself!

I assume you took this after sunset? I actually like that it's not really a sunset shot, more of a dusk shot. Hard to get a longer shutter time at sunset.
Anyway, when I move back to the ocean in a couple months, this is something I must try.

That thin line of pink, brakes the bluish tint of the frame, turning the photo to almost a painting.
