I think the bowl complicates the image. But, I love the high key effect.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2642578563105756376.post-51683653839024815372009-06-26T00:15:47.626-07:002009-06-26T00:15:47.626-07:00I think it's a little too bright . . . we can&...I think it's a little too bright . . . we can't see the sides of the bowl, it's bleeding into the background. I don't know if that's lost detail or you could bring it back in post? I'm all in favor of brightening things up a bit, sometimes I really enjoy a good high-key, but you still have to be able to see all the relevant details in the shot. Just my op on the matter.

I think the focus is fine though, doesn't bother me at all.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15658342110714675627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2642578563105756376.post-25080846398322671642009-06-25T21:31:22.441-07:002009-06-25T21:31:22.441-07:00Thanks for the feedback...exactly what I was looki...Thanks for the feedback...exactly what I was looking for.

Ron...high key lighting in photography is lighting that produces tones that fall mostly between white and gray, with very few dark-gray or black tones.

So basically just wash the subject with light...it's used a lot with portrait photography.

As you can see you can over do it. Without an actual off camera flash so I can light the background separately I have to improvise. Sometimes it works and sometimes it fails miserably but it's all a learning experience. :)Mr. Salad Bowlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12563342208153879767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2642578563105756376.post-28165841949495826902009-06-25T21:09:56.372-07:002009-06-25T21:09:56.372-07:00Not too bad. I think maybe a bit of shape of bowl and spoon wouldn't hurt?Suselekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02764888111999628008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2642578563105756376.post-70622704637516157392009-06-25T20:22:27.460-07:002009-06-25T20:22:27.460-07:00I'm not even going to pretend to understand th...I'm not even going to pretend to understand this High Key. I have looked at your posts on this Rob but fail to see the attraction, as I don't see why you would want the strawberries to be just suspended in a body of white. I haven't commented before because I don't understand it, could you give a link or something to explain the aims of High Key? Please!Ron a.k.a.
